"A"

I love themes. I love food. Why not combine them?
Our group of friends in Arizona recently decided to eat our way through each letter of the alphabet. Some dishes we will have to get really creative with, but last night was "A" and it was pretty simple.
(side note: we went out of order and did "S" first, which was a huge hit...sangria, salsa and santitas, spaghetti with sauce and sausage, strawberry soup, and strawberry shortcake).

For "A" we had an assortment
of appetizers: avocado dip (or guacamole if you're doing "g"), artichoke dip, asparagus, arugula salad, and apples and caramel dip. For drinks we had my personal favorite, Ace pear and apple cider.
Meredith and Alexis both made Anti-pasta dishes that were delicious and Ashley baked a great apple caramel upside down cake.

My favorite quote of the night was from Dave, "Oh, you can use spanish... well then for X Y Z you could go crazy with Queso!" I'm not really sure why Q equals letters X,Y, and Z in his head or maybe he just really likes queso? I know I do.

We also had two guest visitors who both used to live in Arizona, Launa who lives in Portland, and Steve who was videoed in from Denver! I love all of our new and old friends getting to meet!We are so blessed to have such a fun group of friends here and I am really excited about our adventure to eat through the alphabet!

Stay tuned for "B" and let us know if you have any great ideas!
